Hey there, want to know more about who’s writing? My name is Cindy and I’m a writer, a traveler, a hiker, an outdoors lover, and so much more. I read books and listen to music constantly (and often at the same time), love watching films, I’m a fan of the Leafs and the Marlies (Toronto’s two hockey teams), and I walk everywhere. I expanded on my love of walking and hiking and turned it into a passion for long-distance, multi-day walks/hikes. Oh, and I’m based in Toronto, Canada.
I created this site to write about those walks, and other things associated with walking, hiking, trails, and my love of the outdoors and travel. I also have another site, where I chat about anything else that catches my fancy, called The Musings Nook.
Cindy in a nutshell:
Likes: purple, live music and sports, films, travel, walking, the outdoors, tea, writing, cooking, fantasy books, hockey (Leafs and Marlies), baseball (Jays), my family and friends (okay, they should be higher), a cold beer on a hot summer day (preferably on the patio), a nice dram of whisky (Highland Park, Dalwhinnie and Glenmorangie are my current favs) in the winter, museums and art galleries, Christmas and Halloween, camping, roast turkey, chocolate milk, eating out, and nail polish.
Dislikes: willful ignorance, racism, condescension, the colour yellow, and being bored.
